The Green Machine - parked

Happier with your SAS now? I know you were not too thrilled with your Yukon in the recent past?
Yeah the ride was atrocious, it was so bad I was beginning to dread driving it every day, the thought of needing a neck brace soon certainly took the joy out of it. It handles better now that the spring rates are similar front to rear, whereas before the front would toss the rear around and made it downright scary on certain surfaces. Now being an inch lower the steering geometry is better and I have nowhere near the bump steer I had before, and I don't have to saw the wheel half a turn when I go over the crown of the road. Removing that leaf made it a whole different animal. That and I kinda lost track of my long term plans for it and am working on making it the second ride like I had originally planned. Once it's no longer my daily driver I'll be perfectly happy with its character and won't have to sweat when something goes wrong with it.

Your springs are Tuff Country EZ rides right? Are they specifically for a 73-87 front? What shocks are you running? Do you have a sway bar? How about bump stops or droop stops?

Springs are Tiff Country EZ ride (supposedly) for a 73-87 front. I have generic shocks for now, no sway bar, people tell me I don't need it, and I'm not sure I believe them. And no bump stops or droop stops as of yet, I'm going to fab some bumps up soon, I needed to recover my budget after pushing real hard to get it on the road again last fall, and since I didn't plan on any wheeling they got put on the back burner for winter.

I'm pretty sure Tuff Country Ez rides didn't come with overload springs. Kinda sounds suspect to me.

Replaced my broken backup lights with some brighter ones.

TC ez's on my truck have 4 leaves total.
The EZ rides I ordered are just like nojeepshere, 3 springs total. The third one being quiet a bit shorter than the other two. wonder why the difference? :dunno:

Is the starter cutting out like that? Possibly a power/ground issue?
