Time for a big ol' hub spacer.......? :)

I have the opposite problem with the Grant wooden wheel that I am hoping to use... it's got a really deep dish on it which puts it WAAY to close to my chest. Trying to come up with a way to modify the center to get it a few inches closer to the dash so I don't have to drive with my seat ALL the way back.

That is an option. I have 3" hub spacer, and I think they make a 5" spacer.
It is 1.5 differences between the two steering wheels. I should mock up first to see if I need the longer spacer.

It's kind of a pointless exercise.... you don't even need a steering wheel since the front axle of your truck spends most of it's time in mid-air anyway...

Well, I took my sweet time getting this next part done.
My first attempt for a mount was way off because I measured the holes off the old mounting bracket. I aim for the center of what I measured, but it turned out to be wider than I expected. It just the holes in old mounting bracket was over size to fit.

Also the edge of my bracket hit the back of dash. After slotting the holes and clearing the edges, I used it for mock up anyway. After C-clamping the column to bracket I checked the position of steering wheel was happy with where it was at. yes and no. I wanted something light so plastic is ideal. I could machine something, but the coupler works with minimal effort and cost.

It's just... it's just a damn PIPE COUPLER.

I think the biggest problem is that it works too well.

There is many other projects to do before I work on the dash. I like the factory dash. I just need to get a dash pad. That gauge cluster needs a lot of work.
 
I could get you one of these to finish it out but it appears its not the correct race pack to fit in it?

Yep, I saw that. I just have to get a $700 RacePak dash to go along with that gauge panel.
 
Yeah when I first saw your Racepak dash I thought it was golden, then I realized it wasn't the one that actually fits in that.
