Awesome place, but yeah you definitly need to take your time if you don't wanna beat your rig to pieces.
I had one of those with the crew cab too. Plus the fenders being tore up too.I even had a crack in the cowl where the passenger fender bolts on.
What is awesome Scott is you still wheel Daisy. So many guys get a rig like your yota and that's it. They kind if forget about whatever else they had.
Very cool man
Just a 4l80e pan with a drain plug in it.What transmission pan is that?
So my drivers front fender has been broken at the top by the cowl for over a year now and while runnng burro wash the passenger side fender broke down at the bottom. So over the weekend I loosened up the fenders, pried everything back into alignment and welded them back together. I even had a crack in the cowl where the passenger fender bolts on. I checked the frame for cracks and didn’t find anything not even any loose hardware. The front end of the truck feels better now, it’s crazy how much the frame relies on the body to keep everything feeling solid. I’d love to tear the front end off the truck, plate the frame and build an engine cage. That probably won’t happen til the next engine swap.
Does any of you have a pic of the fender where it breaks up top? I'm pretty sure mine did this on the passenger side on the desert trip after 100 or so miles of washboard. I found one of the two upper fender bolts loose on the trip and tightened it and the noise went away. Half way up red cone it started up again. It's closed up the Gap at the top of the fender to the door too.
It's annoying as hell for sure. I can put up with some noise but that one sounds like the window regulator is loose and banging inside he door over every sharp bump.
Holy crap has it been a whole year!? Did I let this thread die!?
