The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

Well, I would change out the 1330 joint to at least a 1350.
Another thing I would do is put a brace on the back the transfer case. I saw a ford have one from the factory. It is probably is needed. I know you had trouble with your transfer-case cross-member before, and I think a brace would help with both the cross-member and u-joints. With the transfer-case rocking, it probably putting the u-joints out of phase angle wise, causing them to explode.

I recently redid the mount:thumb: also I purchased a brace kit from trail tuff or someone, I agree on the shaft. Bummer I just had it remade lol

At any rate, parts are finally flying in for the buggy. Brakes are done, wiring should be finished this weekend and the fluid are in it.. Whoop!

Productive weekend I'd say:thumb:

Took the Sami out..slide it into a embankment..knocked the tires off the beads, dented some crap and drove it backwards with me and my lady friend a mile or so with two driver side flats:popcorn: did the old bead reseat after my Indian showed up with my jack and n2o tank and a lighter with starting fluid and a ratchet strap. Fun.

Next night came back, tried again and fried the clutch, a sidewall, and something with the front shaft cause half of its gone.. So it will get a new clutch this weekend, probably an upgrade.

The k5 back up mud bogger project got some boggers and other bs. Still need to get full brakes, rear shaft, swap in the old buggys bad ass shaft and flange, then paint. I am thinking the mopar green I did my last 86.

Moving right along.

And lastly today's wonderful progress. There is a great resource here in town and he knows his stuff for auto wiring :thumb:

We made a front vehicle harness, all connectors are double crimped, solderd and heat shrinked, then loomed with the fancy uv rated pain to install stuff and nice fancy plugs other than the fans that used 10 gauge and there own style connector and everything has its own wire color for its circuit.

Up front is wired as follows.

-rigid flood led light Dually d2's... orange wire
-rigid amber led 20 inch bar...blue w white stripe wire
-hella 55w heat lights..brown wire
-trans cooler fan... green with black stripe wire
-power steering cooler fan ...solid green wire
-radiator cooling fan...green with white stripe

With the front tackled we moved along to making a harness for the roof.

Up here we ran a 12 gauge wire off one of the extra fused circuits we left on the panel. This circuit will handle the following.

Cb with pa "inline fuse"
Siren/horn "inline fuse"
Race radio " inline fuse"
12v USB power to supply the Samsung tablet.

They are all wired with weatherpak plugs and the devices use a common stud ground then they also all have their own plug so they are easy to remove. These will mounted through a face panel to hide the stuff behind them and clean up the look.

Also up top in the 40 inch rigid led bar..yellow wire
Interior lights are the rigid led lights designed to mount on a tube, these are blue wired also with weatherpak plugs.

I'll snap some pics later of the awesome wiring to the battery, battery selector switch, distribution block "1 inwith 3 out"..battery cable selection is 0 gauge fine strand.

Line lock it also wired, as is the fuel pump and starter wires.

That would be a fun car..
Didnt even know you had a blazer. Whats the plan with the 07?

Your buggy looks like its coming along nicely

Damn your hard to keep track of!!

Well the blazer was a project with my dad, we gathered up 3 and made one.. 3/4 tons, cross over, stripped and painted frame with the weld in kits, 56" with shackle flip, new springs and all that jaz. It's now getting the rear welded, some color and the darn frame lacks any brake components so that's going to suck $$

It has a rebuilt 350, sm465 and a 205. I figure it would be nice to have as a back up mud toy and street truck when I want a door that slams like a door should :D

07 is waiting for me to get a call from jakesperformance saying I'm next on the list for a trans build.

I love how you spend a lot of time and big bucks on some parts.... then weld the rear lol definitely all about function for you

Yea I saw all the talk about the stage 5 tranny and stuff.. I was just wondering if your going to keep it along with your blazer, buggy, sami?

I've spent way too much on lockers I have destroyed. Hell even the buggy has a welded front:pimp: it's reliable, the rear has an arb but that's just cause I was feeling fancy that day.

Hell ya, different tool for the job.

White truck..fun to stare at in the back yard and use once in a while
Sami..going to use for exploring and easy trails/ my Eco wheeler:D
Buggy..local trails, koh, Moab, dunes, Parker, new Mexico, some dirt riot races
D max..towing daily driver easy trails and lake trips and work
blazer..back up bogger/science project to see if I can keep one nice for once

Honestly I don't really have a want for the k5 but with a manual only 37s and beefy drive lines I should be able to keep it reliable and for a back up mud bog race thing/ different class and it will be nice for a couple of my friends to enjoy at the mud bogs too. It probably will end up with a Dana 60.

Kind of over the white truck. The last few days I have been just wanting to kill it off. Tempting. It's just a money whore and I have lost the satisfaction with it, can't street it easily with 44's. Just bla.

freak dude I wish I lived close to you and was your friend... I would make sure everything got used and abused for you! :pimp: :waytogo:

The OCD side of me likes your garage wall. :)

I spent an hour + this weekend arranging all my electrical connectors into little boxes by wire gauge, size and type next to my bolt bin. Makes me sleep better at night. :D

Meh, amateur...

Those wire rolls should be arranged by their order in the visible spectrum... Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet..etc.

I have obsessive behaviors as well, but I call it CDO. They letters are arranged in alphabetical order...as they should be. :deal:

:haha:

How do you keep track of all the stuff you are into at one time... I need a head spinning smiley to add to this post.

I love to check out what you are up to...the buggy is the best.:waytogo:
Your toys and antics are way out there! :thumb:

And the Olds...I take it it`s your buddys?....That guy is lucky it doesn`t have cum all over it from guys looking at it!
