Seems a little shifty to me...

That's unlikely. I still have to place the powertrain in the car, and there is a lot of adjustment in the shift linkage. Also, I'm a tall guy, and the front buckets will be pushed back a little farther than normal.Does the shifter end up too far back?

Just the chassis buildout, body mods, suspension setup, build up the powertrain, and body work and paint....Got some serious work ahead.
And without the T56 magnum price tag! Supposedly the magnum has all the 6060 innards, but in the T56 case. Like I explained to the wife, I didn't save any money, I'll now just spend that elsewhere in the car.TR6060 strength boost too.
My experience has been the same. Glad I got the one with the .57 OD. My CTS-V would cruise at unnecessarily high RPMs, and I have always referenced that experience when thinking about rear end and OD ratios. A three coast cruise requires a tall OD, and after a good shakedown, that will be one of the trips we take. The TR6060 is a sweet piece. Very fun to drive
