wish these were built for the 79 model

I always thought the '79 had the later model frame horns... This cradle should fit up directly to that!! Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here...

Canadian Winch Cradle Inquiry...

So I received a request for more info from someone on these forums from Canada the other day about one of these winch cradles and I tried to reply but their account isn't set to receive emails or PM's.

- If you are on here and see this -

Please either email or PM me with your contact info (either email or phone number) so I can get ahold of you! I noticed that there was an order that failed on the website also the same afternoon. I have no problem shipping these to Canada, but I need some way of contacting you :)

any idea on the max dimensions for a winch in this cradle/ im looking at using the new Zeon 10k from warn in it. looks like its slightly larger than most 10k winches ive looked at. 24.25" L x 7.15" D x 7.84" H thats with the control box removed.

They look awesome with a CUCV brush guard.

You're wrong.

Hey now, that's not correcting me, that's just saying I'm wrong. Doesn't '79 fall into the '73-'87 year range?

Actually. The front frame horns are slightly diffent 73-80 more rounded and can be trimmed to fit the diagonal 81-87 front frame horns.

I ran a 82 bumper on a 77 for a while but it was 2wd, but sure its the same. It was many years ago. Maybe someone other than Martin can chim in with useful information not being a smart ass.

How did you go about mounting that?

Two of the bolts on the bumper line up. Kellyjohn helped bend some flatbar to match up to the other bolt holes using a press while I was out at Deulings last summer.

I have a 1 inch body lift so take that into account with the alignment.

The cucv guard also adds support to the wings.

Here are some close up pics.

Thanks for the pics. That is kind of my plan to mount my CUCV grille guard to the TNA cradle when I get one. Looks awesome :waytogo:
