Man when I saw all that bright diamond plate I was bummed. Then you painted it black and awesomeness returned

Did you at least offer him a ride? :dunno:

Thanks again for sharing all the pictures. :thumb:

Ofcourse a ride was offered but he couldn't be convinced to go :frown1:
I've heard these threads are worthless without pics so I'm trying to add value

You seriously got me laughing with that. I'm glad you approve.

I think you mentioned it before, but what gear ratio are you running? And those are 37" tires, right?

Those pop up camper for the Blazers have a bit of a following. Looks like a decent truck.

Great pictures

Yeah it looked pretty straight and if I had the money id find out who owns it. Id hate to see it fall apart.

Send some in for the calendar next year! I like your upgrades! Nice Jimmy! :waytogo:

And you need to save that 72 with the pop up! :thumb:

After my Moab trip I felt like driving the Jimmy more and so I started taking it to work a few times a week.
one night after work I got a few poser shots.

in January I was on the way to work and the 700r4 let go. I haven't really been able to work on it much due to weather, but I think the Jimmy will be under the knife for a while getting some updates and alterations.

Here we are caught up to present day and awaiting some fair weather. I've got to pull the trans and I'll pull the engine too. I want to check the frame and make sure its in good order also thinking of adding to the engine while its out. Its been 10 years the engine went in, about time it got a touch up.

Yeah it gave me 9 good years, and I like the way I had it set up.
I'm thinking I'll add a new radiator and cooler along with a deeper pan to help with temps.

I remember seeing your Facebook post where it let go! Be cool to see where you go with it

Its taken a while but I'm back at it, getting trans and engine ready to stab back in. I took the trans a few weeks back to my rebuilder and picked it up yesterday. He said the insides looked fine but we upgraded the bands drum and servo anyways. He believes the torque converter let go and was likely the only problem. I have a new torque converter that has a 2500 stall.
I need to install a new harmonic balancer and flex plate before it all goes back together. I'm also taking the opportunity to clean, paint, and add some gasket.

Making some progress. After cleaning it the original paint from 10 years ago is still looking good but touched it up a bit. Once I get my intake cleaned up its going back together.
Also my new radiator showed up.
