This is probably one of those threads:
http://www.chevelles.com/forums/89-efi/893641-return-style-fuel-filter-ls-fitech-install.html

He followed up and it worked for him.

So I read through that thread and the related one and see that a few people had luck with running the corvette filter return. They mostly ran it for convenience and space saving. One thing that was mentioned was the electronics being in the TB and that the fuel return might in fact help keep the unit a little cooler. That sounds appealing to me Since my engine has always seemed to run a little hot.

The command centers have a bad rep and would add a lot more complexity and cost. The corvette filter works allowing the excess pressure to bleed back to the tank but I'm seeing now that it's also somewhat redundant having 2 FPRs. I'm thinking I'll just return that and the adapters I bought for it and get a regular filter, some new hardliners, and run a normal return.

Slow going but making some progress. I got the tank inlet over to the correct side and had to make some drop brackets to space the tank down enough to clear the bed floor, still sits .5" higher than the stock tank. A body lift would make this so easy.

Transmission #2 installed and seems to be running gooder. The trans work was warrantied out along with a new torque converter which we switched out for an 1800 stall instead of the 2500. The cause of the failure was the front pump bushing came loose and got chewed up taking the front seal with it.
took some time this last weekend to button it all up and it back on the road. Since yesterday was so nice out I decided to put it through the paces taking it up Butterfield Canyon to the Kennecott Mine overlook.
And now a little picture whoring.

My Jimmy wants to be just like your Jimmy when it grows up. Nice rig.

Been driving the Jimmy daily and it's been awesome. The engine runs smooth, has more consistent power. Fires up on the first try, no pumping the gas pedal, and no fumes from flooding.
There's still some fine tuning needed but it's night and day difference on drivability.

Today I dropped it off at the local firestone to get some new rubber installed. 38/13.50/r17
