Would think it is the TV cable then
I've just tried 2 tv cables. One was a stock replacement for an 84 K5 and that had the same performance. Had to switch it cuz the plastic mounting foot was bending.
Now I have a tci universal on it that I just set and it's a little better but still holds rpm before shifting. Starting to think the actual valve has an issue.

This same characteristic happened last year after it was built and ran like this for 10+ months.
I know it's working and the cable is set right but it should be working better for a new build, again.
I'll get a pressure gauge tomorrow and see what it do

About time I got an update up in here after bash.
Had a blast and meeting everyone was awesome. Breaking down in Moab two years in a row is rough and had me a bit overwhelmed. Luckily the fixes were fairly easy. First fix was reconnecting the fuel pump as the hose slid off the sending unit in the tank. Second was not getting spark and something inside the distributor wasn't working so I bought a whole new unit, dropped it in and made the drive home.
On the way home the 700r4 was getting really hot because the torque converter lockup wasn't working. We made a stop in Green River to swap out about 6 quarts of fluid in a parking lot. Loads of fun :surepal:
We proceeded to stop a few more times to let things cool down and made it home in about 8 hours, roughly double the time it normally takes.
After getting home I've not driven it much while waiting on parts and time to fix it.
A big thing that came up after this year is I don't want to depend on the jimmy to get me to and from Moab anymore and I would like to have AC, so I got something to tow it with.

Tow rig FTW!

I love driving the blazer on the trails and around town occasionally, but highway driving sucks. You'll like that a lot better. Now gotta get a trailer!

Tow rig FTW! Now gotta get a trailer!

AC, heated seats, and I don't have to yell to talk with passengers. I have a 20' trailer that needs a new deck and tires, probably get that done this winter.

oh even better.

those door moldings come right off too, that was the first thing I ripped off when I brought my 03 home.

If it's the same as my wife's Yukon then yes just double sided tape holding them on. My old 04 black chevy like that I had the rockers sprayed with black bedliner from the body line down. Looked great with the black paint.

FINE, I'll wash my truck! I didn't know you were gonna go buy a new truck and then park right next to me. geez!

:D
