Maybe you're having the bent fuel sending unit issue like Joey and I both had.
That is something I wondered. My gauge said I was empty but it was full after 25 gallons went in.
Not sure how that would affect the injectors though.
Since I just filled the tank I’m going to siphon some gas out before dropping the tank

It does seem like a slim chance, but I thought it would also be a crazy coincidence.

So been a bit slow on progress but I have made some headway. After doing some diagnostic work, I was able to get my Fitech powered up and the fuel pump working. It starts and runs fine.
What I found out is the fuel pump is pulling too many amps and blowing the fuse on the Fitech right away.
I wired the pump to a relay to test and it works just like it’s supposed to, but I’m sure the pump is hurt and will need to be replaced. Note the fuel pressure being a bit low.

Is that to replace the fuel pump or for other purposes?
I ask because my carb'd Jimmy has an identical hole cut in the bed floor above the tank like that.

Yeah this way you can get to the sending unit and pump (if you have one) without dropping the tank.

Got the hatch all installed and pulled the sending unit to see if it was short. It’s the right length for the tank, so I’m not sure why it has an issue with the last 5 gallons..

Made a short video about the hatch install.

Now that I have that done. I’m moving onto the rats nest of wiring that I can’t blame on the PO

Is the master cut off switch for the battery or winch, etc? If it’s for the battery, where will you install it?

I have one I want to put on my battery but I’m not sure where to put it. Next to the battery is easy but I’d prefer to have it close to the driver seat for ease of use.

The plan was for the winch since it only need to be connected when I need it. Flip it on before hitting the trail and turn it off after. I was going to put it on the passenger fender.

Decide to test the gauges and screen to make sure everything was working. After hooking up a camera the screen popped on and it’s not happy. It’s got some dead lines and even worse, it really is tiny.

Picked up a new screen and it has a much larger view area.

For the relay boxes I mounted the one with the engine operations on the radiator support. The other box for lights and accessories will be mounted on the inner fender. I had a piece of bent diamond plate and it looked like it could be a good mount.

I used nutzerts to mount the boxes and breakers to the plate.
I need to add a tab to mount it to the inner fender then this is ready to go in.

Long weekend done and a lot of progress. Got the truck all back together and working well.
New fuel pump, dash and all the switches back in.
Fitech issues managed.
New 220 amp alternator in.
New over flow and intake tube in place.

220 amp, in a CS130 case, with a single v-belt. I'm a little worried.
