The belt squeal decided to go away on it's own.
The new fuel filler neck works great and I no longer need to hold the pump handle with the larger tubing & hose. I think the extra weight over the rear axle is helping the rear springs settle, it's definitely sitting more level now.
I've been driving it all over, whenever I can. It's pretty funny how much attention it gets between the color and the engine sound.

Some of you may have noticed the brown paint inside the wheel wells from the other long bed fenders and floor I swapped in. The brown paint stood out too much so I picked up some 3M undercoating from autozone, taped off the frame, wheels and shot a couple coats. Came out pretty damn good.
I also spent a couple hours diagnosing the fuel gauge that’s pegged past full. I already double checked the ground at the sender previously, that was fine so I traced the wire from the tank to the gauge and eventually pulled the dash apart so I can access the back of the gauges. I verified the ground and 12v at the gauge and the sender signal is reaching the gauge as well. If I ground signal wire at the gauge it goes to empty so I think the gauge is good. I really don’t want to remove the bed again but I might have to verify the sender is operating with a ohm meter.
And I no longer need to hold the fuel handle at the gas station with the new filler neck and larger ID hose.

So much awesome, nice work!. I wonder if this would solve my 79 taking 3 hours to refuel... since it trips the pump every 7 seconds..
I hate fueling up my '75 K5.

Been a bit.
Been a bit.
It has been a while since the last update however I really haven't touched it, other than drive it. I can't go anywhere without a stranger approaching me to talk about it or offer to buy it.
I have an ongoing list of loose ends and upgrades that I want to hammer out this winter.
1) Fix fuel gauge
2) Replace Speedo Cable (exhaust melted it)
3) Connect E-Brake Cable
4) Buff the paint and remove the black paint from the top of the bedsides.
5) Spray in a bed liner. I have a raptor kit for it.
6) Install carpet or a vinyl floor, not sure which yet.
7) New Windshield
8) Replace window regulators and tracks.
9) Add tailpipes
10) Replace D44 inner axle seals
11) Replace rear studs (broke one a few months back).

A few weeks ago I was driving Sancho and I noticed a missfire at 4K+ rpms at WOT. After a quick inspection of the of the plug wires I found the distributor loose.......oops. I still haven't put a timing light on it.
and because everyone loves photos, here's one a buddy snapped. Look's like a kid is sitting next to me but that's a grown adult
