Yes, and no.What do you do about registration? Leave it a c10 or what? Do you need to get it inspected?
Yes, and no.
No inspection in California and no one cares what it is called, you can call it b50 if you want
Yes, it will be a 74 C10 on paper and smog exempt because of it’s age. My other K10 is actually a 84 C20 diesel on paper since that’s what the cab was from.
I have thought about going this route in the future with my 73 C10. Well, both it and the crewcab. Basically the crew cab drivetrain with the 73 body. But I really want to use a K30 frame.
Especially when it's a single cab.I thought about using the C10 frame (I reviewed your CC build) but with the back of the frame hacked up from an accident and the fact I found this frame for $100 it’s hard to justify the extra work.
I was wondering why you didn't go that route and convert it. Like you said though for that cheap of a deal you can get it all built and then just swap over to it.I thought about using the C10 frame (I reviewed your CC build) but with the back of the frame hacked up from an accident and the fact I found this frame for $100 it’s hard to justify the extra work.

C10’s were born to be body swapped onto real frames.
