1974 K10 Dirty Sancho

Saved from cruel and unusual punishment
Yes, and no.
No inspection in California and no one cares what it is called, you can call it b50 if you want

Ok. Just curious. My 77 is a c10 now a k20 not sure if anyone would care around here or not. With all the theiving going on these day someone might look into it?
Mine is not registered. But it will nead an inspection for sure.

I have that exact same set of wheels in my parts stash. Mine are in a little better shape with most of the original black still on them. I heard once upon a time that some of those old wheels like that were magnesium but I do not know. Mine might end up on my '72 Chevy if I ever end up doing something with it and happen to keep half ton axles under it.

I have thought about going this route in the future with my 73 C10. Well, both it and the crewcab. Basically the crew cab drivetrain with the 73 body. But I really want to use a K30 frame.

I thought about using the C10 frame (I reviewed your CC build) but with the back of the frame hacked up from an accident and the fact I found this frame for $100 it’s hard to justify the extra work.

Especially when it's a single cab.
A suburban I would think twice, a crew cab is a toss up but a regular cab is easy to throw on another frame

I was wondering why you didn't go that route and convert it. Like you said though for that cheap of a deal you can get it all built and then just swap over to it.
