No I'm good. I'm just going to do the real paint job. The thought of getting around it to other stuff is a nice idea, but the fact is I have pretty much already penciled in the time, money, energy, etc to just go ahead and get it done between now and Halloween. I think it's perfectly doable, so why not just stick with it. Once the paint is done, everything else will be easy and I won't feel like I have a paint project looming over my head.
Now, all that said, I do have a pre paint plan. And if it fails, I'll be skipping paint. Immediately after the 4th I'll be painting the hood, tail gate, and the back side of the new door. If that all goes well and turns out with any type of good looks, I'll move on to painting the whole truck. If it turns out worse than imaginable, I'll put the hood and tail gate back on and forget about paint until I have the money to drop it off somewhere and just work on other stuff in the mean time.
