I could see if Nate could give you a haul. He's at work now so it would be tomorrow. For that matter I could also haul it for you Saturday afternoon as I will be in Denver visiting Nate.

And slowly. I would think there's enough oil in there to handle that.

We'll see how it goes when I get back to the truck. Worst case scenario is pull the driveshaft and pinion assembly and drive home Honda style...
I’ve driven Honda style before
It sucks

After getting it home and relating the "good" news to the wife...

I'm fairly certain she officially hates me and my truck.

I had to walk away and let her come to her senses. We'll see what she has to say about it tomorrow.

As for the diff, the ring gear is destroyed. Nearly every tooth is chunked. Not really sure how it wasn't making noise until today. The amount of bearing and gear material in the oil pretty much means full rebuild hub to hub. There is no way that it hasn't made it through every bearing...

Right now I have 2 but one is a narrow 1 ton cab/chassis and the other is xtra wide 10 lug 3500 hd model in the shuttle bus that was my L29 doner.
Shoot the gears would be a start. After that it's just bearings. They ain't cheap for sure, but it's an option.

I don't know much about setting up gears either, but Nate (@Raggedy_Ann ) helped me with mine for the ARB and it's done fine. I'm sure he would give you a hand if you need it.

Thanks for the offer to help @85k5witha6.2 . I can use all the help I can get apparently...

I have asked @GWeakland620 to send me everything he has. Now I just get to upset the wifey by spending more money on the truck...

Can't do that with a semi floater. Way to MacGyver it to get home.
I grenaded my rear 10 bolt.
I took the driveshaft off, the cover, all the chunks of the gears that were getting wedged in and drove Honda style for 30 miles to get home.
Wasn't that bad but I was going to remove the pinion but I didn't have issues with it in so I let it be.
Obviously if it was more than 30 miles I wouldn't do it because no oil, but it made it and I put a 14bff instead.
