There's 2 balancer's for sbc's. The timing marks are the only difference I know of between them, but 40deg sounds like a ton more than would be on that difference. Thought the 2 were only like 20deg off.

How much lift you shooting for on the front? Those shackles look long enough as is. Can you flip the FUSH? Looks like that will drop the pivot point down ~1"
So for about 100 bucks for a gasket kit, 100 bucks for a pump, and maybe a 100 bucks on miscellaneous stuff, the other engine goes in... but with no VSS. Or I sell my 205 as it sits and pull another 241 and get a SYE. Which could be a wash, IDK. And I could bed mount the Suburban tank. No longer need a pump but maybe .... ish .... 50 bucks to mount the tank.
