Spent 170.00 at the parts store. Got enough exhaust crap to get through emissions (yes, I actually have to do that still) and ended up with a 40 series flowmaster too. Pics to come later

That's all it has to do in Utah, I think just go 2' past the cab. Not sure how it is where you live. I will purposely never live where there is emissions. State inspections are bad enough.

In Colorado everything south of '82 goes to state certified, yet independent, repair facilities. They have the equipment and legal authority to pass or fail.
The guy that I go to won't pass you without merit. But for an extra 30-40 bucks he'll adjust stuff to help you out.
He cares about whether or not it will pass. Ndoesn't care too much about the BS.

That is a lot of clamps...I would have just welded it...maybe you don`t have a welder or whatever...don`t matter anyway, you made it nice and neat looking.

Holy u-bolts batman! I thought I was the only one that did that. Lost a muffler in the snow outside of Westcliffe in the 75 a couple years back with duals set up like that. Funny thing was that it took me most of the ride back to realize I was missing one.

Why wouldn't it pass? I've seen smog guys do magic here to get stuff through.. Retard timing, wet blanket over radiator etc..

I think everyone could be misunderstanding the emissions thing. I have no doubt that I will pass emissions once I actually try. The reason I bought all of this instead of using the old stuff is because the old stuff was rotted and falling out from under the truck. The old headers that I had were junk. I used a set of TBI exhaust manifolds and y-pipe, had the catalytic converter from the suburban, but that was it. Taking into account that I don't have a welder, I simply did what was the best combination between expense and functionality. Plus, as I already mentioned, this is temporary.
