Yes, center bolt. That is the exact reason that I am thinking black for the valve covers.
The more I am running this through my head, the more I think I am leaning block, heads oil pan, water pump orange. Valve covers, timing cover, air cleaner black. Intake will be aluminum. Harmonic balancer will be whatever silver color I have on the shelf, for contrast againt the timing tab.
