The real answer is that Justin is right every time he agrees with me. That's the magic part, if he does something stupid that is still stupid.

But in this case, he's doing what I did. So he is exhibiting his genius to the world.

Did you get paint down into the rocker/valve area?

Pretty sure that's bad when the paint starts flaking if you did..

No roller cam because no roller cam money.

And to answer you Josh, my garage is hardly a clean room. Not really a good idea to assemble motors here, a little overspray will be the least of my worries.

Isn't that a roller block? Roller cams aren't that bad when you have a factory block... Converting blocks is the real cost...

Besides, it's a snowball effect. Once I decide to go roller, then I want to go bigger, then I want heads, then I want aftermarket EFI, then I think, well just go LS if I'm going to spend all that money, then I need a 4L80, and MAW get a titan box, and on and on. Right now I am just trying to get reliable drivabilty.

I get it dude. I'm not saying anything. I thought maybe you had a non roller block and was looking at a grand for the change over. I went roller in my 406 and it cost about grand by the time I got everything for the conversion
