Lol I hear ya, if I manage to piss off the wife, working my garage typically isn't a good thing. To her that's a reward.
I get lots more done when she is happy.

Your in Utah, and just built a big house on a ranch, what are you not telling us?
No thanks. One is enough headache. There are a few families of them around here though.
 
Backlash is probably a tad loose on paper, but it drives really nice and I had the best pattern on these used gears with .0105" backlash. I triple checked the cap bolts this time.

Are these the ones you got from me?
 
Also lost about 0.5-0.75" of rear height because I re-worked the rear spring packs removing some antifriction plastic that was in between my leaves. Might get a EZ inch, might not.

You don't want to get a tight backlash on used gears, and you want to try and match the wear pattern, because it is already established and will not wear out as fast
