1979 K30 Pile of Hillbilly Crap.

Detroit locker and the carb kit first

I agree. I have the carb kit, just need to get a curve kit.

Yeah you are definitely more short on traction currently, than you are on power. I would also recommend you look for a hydraulic clutch setup.

I also agree with this. Let me know if you see one somewhere for cheap.

Ok enough of me whoring your thread. :D

I think I have an Edelbrock performer lying around I would sell. Don't know if this is the type of intake you are looking for.

The tunnel ram would sure look neat, but a standard dual four barrel intake would probably be better suited for the job.

So tonight I pulled out the old 454. Need to clean up a few of the parts before reinstalling. Truck got a performer that and bought for 100. Been watching ebay and craigslist for a oval port tunnel ram. It might just be worth it for the look. Planning on running it as and dynoing to see what it makes then when I do get all the parts for a dual 425s on a tunnel ram I will redyno. Honestly a tunnel ram out the hood might just be worth the cost. Something like mad max meets bigfoot.

Stopped to look at a semi nice (for nebraska) 1973-1975 blazer saturday. I really don't need it but it would be cool.

Everyone needs at least one Blazer.

Especially a full vert :pimp:

How do you like the Iroks compared to a regular TSL ? A lot of the terrain you guys seem to have looks similar to some of our areas and I'm looking to ditch my used 38's and splurge on some new shoes and wondering what you thought.

I don't think they are better. I couldn't get 39.5s when I ordered mine. They were a little cheaper. Do well just fast wearing but less chunking than my last set.

I'm going to go with a 39.5 this time, I've had TSL's in the past but never had Iroks so I was curious. I would really like a set of 40" LTB's but it's not looking like that will ever happen.
Thanks :waytogo:

Stopped by to work on it today. Figured out why I never had vac advance from the timed port and cleaned up the water pump and pulleys. Also removed the flywheel, clutch and intake from the old 454 so it can be sold to the machinest for irrigation duty. Having trouble finding a tunnel ram for cheap.

The nice thing about IROKs are that you can get a tall tire, in a narrower size. Like Boggers. I never understood why the tall TSL's are so damn wide.

My current TSL's aren't even tall and they are super wide (38x16's )

Did you see they are making a new 42" skinny bogger (42x13.5 IIRC)
