Since Idaho is one of the few states without a motorcycle helmet law, there is a lot of bikers out there.
those tires in the bed going on that beast?
what size are they?
those are his 44's for his blazer
I will be doing an almost identical swap to the crew in my avatar, picked up my 8.1 this weekend and I already have a nv 4500 . Please tell me you have got this thing running now.
I have read you and Larrys builds a couple of times and and I consider myself very lucky to have all the info. Thanks for posting these types of builds.

He's young. I've found that exhaust sound levels desired increase as age decreases. Or vice-versa.![]()
It's going to be loud....
I'm curious to know how much pipe you end up with. For my swap in the crew cab I'm figuring on (2) 2.5" mandrel U-bends to get from the block hugger headers to the Y-pipe. I'm hoping to have enough straight pieces from the U-bends to not need any 2.5" pipe.
From the Y-pipe I'm doing 3.5" into a 50 series big block muffler. Figuring on (3) 4' pieces of 3.5" straight pipe and (1) 3.5" mandrel U-bend.
Please post up what you actually end up using for exhaust pieces. Should help me out since it should be about the same length as yours.
I'm a little surprised with the muffler choice being a tow vehicle but it should perform well.

I'm OK with loud but it better be fast. Otherwise I like a good tone....
. This setup should get me overall what I want out of the exhaust...should flow real well for performance, but should also have a pretty good tone to it with the 40 series. I had one of these mufflers on my old blazer in high school and I really liked the tone a lot. The whole exhaust is going to be welded except for the muffler connections...I'm going to clamp those...so should make it easier to change the tone of the exhaust as I get older and don't want to
so much, hahaexcept for the muffler connections...I'm going to clamp those...so should make it easier to change the tone of the exhaust as I get older and don't want toso much, haha
