Were you talking about using the rear u-bolt spring plates on the front axle?
Martin
Yea i was thinking of seeing if i could use the diy ones from the rear up front, and then order new ones for the rear 14bolt going in

So i started to fit up the inner fenders. They fit pretty good besides the passenger side inner body mount didn't line up but i will get back at it tomorrow, I was told to try jacking up the body mount near it and maybe it would bring it to alignment. The drivers side fit fine, I meant to measure the distance, from mount to mount on the inner fenders to see if it may just be a **** up with the fenders..?

Try jacking under the core support a little. I had to do that to get my inners to line up properly and all the bolt holes to line up.

The rear axle has four equal sized u-bolts.
The front axle has different sized u-bolts for the u-bolt that goes around the pumpkin.
Martin
I was only going to use the plates, not reuse the ubolts. I like the look of the cast plates up front though, going to keep them. I ordered new u bolts and plates for the swap.
Looking good Nick!
You would have a hell of a time squeezing the top of the u-bolt at the pumpkin together to fit into the narrower spacing of the incorrect spring plate.
Seeing as you are keeping the stock cast plates, you don't have to worry.

Its a long read so I tried to put together a table of contents of sorts. Hopefully some of my ideas and my lessons learned will inspire your buildI think i am going to be in the same boat as you, fingers crossed! do you have a build thread for yours?
