Reminds me of the old navy days, we had to know the difference between a guage that was PSIA and PSIG. That's why some may start at atmospheric pressure because those gauges would be reading PSIA (and no, the A doesn't stand for atmospheric).

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
You know, I really don't know. I downloaded the manual today, so I am going to read up tonight.
Could I get a little course on the differences? I've heard of PSIA and PISG but don't know what they mean.
PSIA is "absolute" pressure which is reference to a complete vacuum. So that guage would measure 14.7psi at sea level, or 0 at a perfect vacuum. PSIG is relative to atmospheric pressure so that at sea level the absolute vacuum would read -14.7psi.
So a barometric pressure is read with a PSIA where as stuff like tire pressure, oil pressure, etc in a car are typically measured PSIG. That's why if I had my rock crawler loaded on the trailer at home at elevation of 4900ft and aired the tires down to 8psi then drove up to the trail at say 9000ft they might read 12psi. It's not because there's more air in the tire, just that the relative atmospheric pressure decreased by 4psi.
I think in general PSI on a guage you can safely assume means PSIG. Only PSIA gets labeled specifically.

They do that because the MAP also has to indicate a vacuum and it's easier to do that than try to switch units from inHg to psi at the "0" mark that's atmospheric pressure.
This is where understanding "bar" comes in handy. 1 bar = 14.5psiA = ~0 psiG. That's why MAP sensors are listed as "1 bar", "2 bar", ect.

So the sun finally hit the side of my door just right to where I was finally able to read enough to find out a little bit of the history on this truck. From what I can see the door reads:

Turns out this truck spent the first part of its life with a prison in Lansing Kansas. Pretty cool if you ask me.
So once I told my wife this, she immediately said, “why haven’t you been calling this truck The Warden?” So now that’s it’s new name.

Congrats on finally having pronounceable name. I read the old name as "Obbs." Like "Calvin and Obbs." This one makes way more sense.
