Tan works well with the wheels you have, and the black will fade out after a while.
Do itI'm leaning hard towards tan, just seeing if anyone can talk me out of it I guess.

I’ve worried about that as well with the Borgeson joint that uses set screws and a jam nut to keep it in place. Yikes! I’m going to check that more often.Story time.
Was driving down the highway today when the blazer suddenly decided to drift into the next lane. My steering has always been pretty good, but all of a sudden I had massive play in the wheel. I was in the fast lane, so I eased it onto the left shoulder and got out to take a look.

The steering shaft bolt fell out and my steering wheel was disconnected from the box.
How I managed to get it to the shoulder without wrecking still blows my mind. When I was trying to figure out the problem, the steering wheel spun completely free.
Anyway, I'm stuck on the wrong side of the highway, cars zipping past at 80mph+ and no steering. I started hunting for some way to repair it long enough to get off the road. All I could find was 1 bolt.

Would fit into the column, buy it was too short to go all the way through, and I didn't have a nut anyway.
But I MacGyvered something up.

I unwrapped some electrical tape off of something, and used that to hold the bolt in place.
It worked well enough to get me off the road and to a shop that gave me a longer bolt and nut to get me back on my way.
The bolt that fell out had a lock nut on it, but had been reused a few times so must have worn out. New bolt and locknut are in place now. And no one got hurt or crashed.
Check your bolts people! This could have ended really, really bad...
This is too funny! I just read this after making the most recent post in my build thread. No spoilers, you gotta check it out.Story time.

With the yellow, definitely black.Bit of a detour here. I'm looking into ordering a new soft top. Trying to decide on a color. got any opinions?

I have a bushing on the frame side and a johnny joint on the axle end, zero noise. https://www.offroaddesign.com/2-link-traction-bar-kit-for-52-56-long-chevy-springs.htmlquestion for anyone with experience.
Awhile back I added an anti-wrap bar because the pinion was pitching up too much with these softer ORD springs. The problem is that I'm getting a TON of noise transferring from the axle up to the frame now. When I take of the anti-wrap, everything is perfectly quiet.
Mostly the noise only happens on deceleration. On the axle side I'm connected through poly bushings, and on the frame side I have poly bushings connected to shackles that are connected to a heim joint on the end of the anti-wrap.
Any thoughts on what I can do to quiet the damn thing down?
Are you sure you don't have a problem with the axle internally and the bar is only amplifying it?question for anyone with experience.

The bar is not binding because I have a shackle on the frame side so it can move if needed.I have a bushing on the frame side and a johnny joint on the axle end, zero noise. https://www.offroaddesign.com/2-link-traction-bar-kit-for-52-56-long-chevy-springs.html
Is the bar binding?
quite possible, but since there is no noise without the bar, it makes me think that there isn't a problem, but just normal gear noise being amplified. Maybe the detroit locker is noisy? Are you sure you don't have a problem with the axle internally and the bar is only amplifying it?
I don't "think" that is the case. I set the traction bar up to not be under tension when the truck is parked on flat ground. However, I did manage to bend the bracket some on the rubicon. The noise was there before that though.Or if the traction bar is changing the pinion angle inducing a driveline vibration.
