On the note of extending to an engine cage, I'm going to need to pick some brains here when it comes time. I absolutely want to keep the inner fenders and it seems like that complicates things.

I got the winch install completed

Tucked in nicely between the frame rails.
After blazer bash I'll work on adding a bumper.

I added about 5* of forward angle to my front bump stops and they seem to be working much more smoothly now.

I got my neighbor to help me flex it out just to be sure.

Looking like these ORD springs are going to work out pretty darn good.

While checking everything out, it does appear that my rear bumps aren't set quite right.

Under full compression, it looks like that shock was able to bottom out. I'll have to keep a close eye on that until I can get a chance fix it.

can you add a little spacer between the rear rubber bump and the tubing it attaches too? Or of course a taller rubber bump pad would work.

Those rubber and poly bumps break down pretty quick and compress more over time. Something to think about when you set them up.

yeah, a spacer above or below the bump stop itself could work, at least temporarily. I'll see what I can come up with.

So, just got to blazerbash and took the blazer for a quick test run... blew the transmission. Barely got it back to camp in 4lo burning clutch the whole way in first gear only.

Gonna skip cliffhanger tomorrow and try to source another tranny.

Ah man. That sucks Josh. Certain it's the tranny and not the converter?
