Hate that when you get pulled over off the side of the trail, it's near impossible to get back on track.

All those aspen trees, bet that's a pretty trail in the fall.

@72gmck5 and I got out and did some deeper snow wheeling last weekend.[/QUOTE]

Looks like a ton of fun!! I don't know if I have been on that road before. It kind of looks like the road that goes up to Smith reservoir over by Thistle.

Let me know the next time you go play, I would love to tag along.

As we passed American fork I was thinking we need to get together soon. It's been awhile.

I got all of the rust repair done, and moved on to installing the kilmat.

Now that layer is down, going to move on and do a layer of noico foam as well.

While i had the truck apart, I also decided to get my radiator pinhole leak fixed.

The guy at the shop said I have a highly sought after radiator. Says he has guys in all the time looking for used ones to rebuild. I guess it's quite a bit larger than what you can get these days in an all metal, non-aluminum radiator. Most new ones this size now have plastic tanks. Supposedly aluminum is less desirable off road because it can't flex without cracking.

He also said that if I ever want to rebuild it they could put in even more rows and it would cool even better.

Nice to know I've got a good one.

Decided we needed to go for a drive this last weekend and ran into a bit of trouble and had to have @the_blaze and @72gmck5 come rescue us. Full video on that coming soon.

However, I did one more stupid thing on the way home.

Yup, punched a hole in the transfer case. I was having trouble getting the case out of 4 low, so I reached under and just disconnected the linkage. Unfortunately the linkage fell into the front drive shaft and banged a hole in the case like so.

@#$%&!!!

Turns out the issue was just a loose nut on the shift arm the whole time.
20210215_215514.jpg

That loose nut was allowing the arm to rotate without shifting. This all could have been avoided if I'd have just realized and tightened that nut.

At least I have another case here I can rob the front off of, so should be back up and running soon.

That'll teach Joey to leave parts over here.:thumb:

Finally got around to fixing something that has bothered me since last blazerbash.
After the ORD suspension upgrade I was constantly on the rear bump stops. I set them to hit when the springs went flat, but after talking to ORD, they told me it was perfectly fine for them to go inverted a bit.

Since I'm nowhere near hitting anything back there, I wanted to move the bumps up 2". I designed that into my brackets, but I also needed to move my shocks up since I had set them to bottom out .5" after the bump stops.
I bought some shock tabs, but I couldn't rotate them up enough without hitting the shock body.

I ended up having to make my own.

Took long than I wanted, but it worked out.

Also got new bump stop rubbers since I had messed them up a bit. Nice bonus, they are yellow.

Hopefully this works out a little better.
