Those brackets are nice. Should be a nice item for conversions. However I would try and use a TBI alternator
The PCM in the 2nd genners controls the alternator. You can definately scroll it back to use an external voltage regulator. Or put the GM on it and do a one wire hookup. Up to you.
I used the GM alt in my '98 crewcab. And I'm useing the ford hi output 205amp in the swap in my superduty. Each one wire hookups.
Chris, did you notch the frame to clear your ac compressor?
Thats the oddity I was thinking then.
So The PCM controls the voltage instead of a regulator?

I've read the article also. I think Zim's question is not if the pump can handle the motor but the fuel line size is big enough for the lift pump. Sounds like the lift pump would like a 5/8 (-10) to truly efficient.
Exactly. That's redicilous.
15L 600hp highway trucks use that.
3/8" is TONs for a low horse pickup like this 12v. Actually 3/8" is the upgrade for the 24v trucks.
Dave. Don't over complicate the job.
