I worked on PS pumps today. When I bought the serp setup, it had a recently rebulit pump with it, so I want to use that pump. I took the pump reservoir (and remote reservoir) from a Diesel setup, and added it to the newer pump.

Dis-assembly of the pumps:

Any ideas yet on where/how you're going to mount the remote resevoir?

I'm using the same pump, I think it came stock on later BBC's also.

John, I haven't looked at the layout of the drivers fenderwell yet, but that's where I'm thinking....something to get it up higher, to keep it out of water that low on the engine....I'll probably build some type of bracket to mount it there. The reservoir has a bracket on the side of it, where it was mounted to the diesel. Real nice as it has a couple captured nuts on it already.
I'll get a pic of it up.
Gotta go pack for the races.

I have that same remote res (got it from somebody on here - don't remember who), that I plan to use with the stock SBC pump. I'm interested in where you end up mounting it, cause I haven't figured out where to mount mine.

That res. did come stock on some big blocks. I got one with my 87 BB. from a suburban.

In addition to the remote reservoir, did you get the pump reservoir too?

I was looking at the inner fender panel tonight, and it looks like it should mount OK in front of the hood hinge.

Here is the remote reservoir:

so you plan on installing the remote reservoir, in addition to your stock pump reservoir, the one with the cap on it?

Thanks for the input Fred....a secondary reason for changing pump reservoirs for me was to have the 3 ports on the reservoir for the hydroboost lines.

BG...are you running a hydro boost setup as well?

I know what ya mean....I've been collecting my junk for about 5 years before I started, and I should have collected more, for all I still had to buy.

So I've been working on the fuel lines, getting them bent up. making some progress on it. Seems like I've done nothing but mow lately....fooking rain is non stop, and when it does stop, the grass needs mowing again. I don't usually mind mowing, its nice to have big yard, but dam..3 hours at a time eats into my day severely.

My yard probably only takes an hour, but it still seems like forever when you have something else you want to do.
