keep it up man.. im in the same situation just not as dire.. im pulling for you... i really hope i get my junk backtogether by tuesday so i can make it to blazerbash also

Are you kidding me!!
What a deal on the trans!

I was thinking ,how much cash you are spending to get this thing going...I would have quit a long time ago.

Good for you to keep it going, that is determination. You are obviously a guy that gets what he wants.

Just don`t be doing it for the rest of us.

I would be sick for ever if I found you that you got into hard times or an accident cause of no sleep because of this, it`s not worth it!

Still cheering!! GO DAVE GO!!! JUST BE CAREFUL!

And have fun!

BTW Jess you are awesome!!

Well its 1:15am EST, I'm dead, but thankful to have a working trans finally.

First up, thanks to all who have helped me with this project...never have I had the quantity and quality of help I have recieved on this project....from the CK5 members (at least 15 have helped from as far away as Idaho, and my family, and neighbors, and friends, I couldn't have done it without many people who have stepped up to help.
As bad as I want this truck in Moab, I also feel I owe it to all those who have helped to get me there....no don't worry I won't kill myself getting there, or go broke doing it, but it seems that this has become a hands on build for not only me, but all those who have helped the last almost 2 years. I surely wouldn't have taken on a project of this magnitude without the influence of CK5
The CK5 brotherhood is truly astounding! :waytogo:

The trans wasn't a complete rebuild at Coan, but just a repair of what was wrong, essentially it had all new parts in it (and a few upgrades) and they found what was wrong, repaired the maladies, and it works GREAT!!!!!!
I only need to adjust the shifter cable to match the shifter gate now. Shifts are pretty firm, and it responds really good....I had to only try a low range shift through the gears as the brakes still aren't functioning.

Jeremy I would be glad to have your help...PM on the way.

There is still so much to be done, and I know I won't get it all done, but after the brakes are figured out, everything else is icing on the cake comparitively.

Spongeidy I really hope your truck can make it too, its cool to see what everyone is doing with their rig, and wheeling together at BB11 in Moab, well I just don't think it gets any better than that.
see ya tomorrow!

glad its a cheap fix.with that kind of service and a bench test to boot to make sure your tranny was gonna run right.very kewl man.

Got the brakes fixed today....interesting find for me...don't use stainless steel hard line...it flares hard, and is hard to seat and not have a leak....with that, we stuggled all day to get rid of the leaks....they will be replaced sometime in the future, but will do for now.

We got a few other things knocked off the list too. Got a lot of help again today, don't know where I would be without it....thanks to all the friends who showed up today..especially Tony....huge help...

Hope you don't mind Dave, I'll jump in here for ya. I think Zim crashed early tonight to get so much needed rest.

He took a test drive today and played around with it a little bit. Sounds like some minor adjustments on the shift cables, possibly a faulty electric fan connection preventing the fans from kicking in. Outside of those two the test drive went well.

Moab or bust :waytogo: Great job guys it. I ' ll be watching the bb11 pic thread!

Very nice progress today.
Keep it up and you will be playing in Moab.:waytogo:

You guys knocked that list way down!!

Again I appreciate the cheering section, it really has helped keep me focused on making this happen, and maybe it gets old reading it, but times like this you find out who your friends are, and willing to sacrifice some time on a holiday weekend to help you meet your goals....too cool, once again to all that have helped...a huge thanks.

Kert said it, test drive went well...only had the little tires on it, because of getting it in the shop, but drivetrain performed well, and the trans cable needs a little adjustment I think. Crimped the connection to the temp sender, hopefully that is all that needed.
Still got one brake line leak to fix.
And hopefully we can knock out a bunch of stuff on the list today.

A lot of the electrical stuff dave we can do in moab we can put winches and bumpers on just can't do much fab work, so build accordingly.

Sounds like you guys are heading to keiths house on Tuesday we will be able to finish stuff up there on wed too.

Dealing with some wheel/lugnut issues now...taking a dinner break and will go back at it pretty quick again.
