Sorry I missed you guys. I'll be there next year for sure.
I plan on going again to BB12, but will be taking a 6000mi. motorcycle trip around that time, and stopping in for the weekend....hoping to grab a seat with someone while I'm there. Looking forward to meeting you while there. It is a absolute must do on the bucket list!
Huh...now I'm trying to think who it was put a set of Stauns on recently?
Just a thought but can they do the centers sorta ovalish like your current retro wheels?
Kert has an amazing plasma cutting machine, if its a structurally sound pattern, I'm sure he can come up with stuff that'll blow you away.
I had an awesome time Dave. Really liked our approach for the week. Kinda laid back and not rushed for much of anything.
The standard design I said I'd get you a picture of.
Kert does the backside flare out to a full circle that is welded in on the rim? Can you get a shot from the backside of that wheel?
I gotta come up with something unique.
I believe that would be cwazy big!

Quazy big....it was too funny seeing that dude on a video...with the big panda munching behind him...the side dishes were pretty sweet too!
For you guys that have followed Dave's build thread but haven't visited the picture threads in the Blazer bash forum, I just have to post these up.
Here ya got this guy, who has a total thrash build for the last month at least and then steps up the pace quite considerably the last couple weeks before Blazer bash. Gets the thing on a trailer, drives it out to my shop and works on it some more.
Manages to get it out to Blazer Bash, another 24 hours of driving so he can wrench on it some more.
Not only wrenching on this one but lets go ahead and get another truck and work on that one too.
Dave my friend, you are a wrenchin' fool! My hat is off to ya.
Thanks Kert...compared to the last month, this week was a breeze. I too appreciated the laid back schedule we took....in fact I would highly recommend starting a trail at 10 and be done by 5 or 6, to enjoy a little time in town, ya know, eating, browsing around, enjoy a little recreational relaxing time....maybe a beer or two, or twelve?

ouch.
I gotta say, every time I get a close up pic of the maiden, I'm liking that green more and more. I don't remember if you have a final color picked out already or not, but maybe think about a tarnished copper green to fit your metals theme and still keep the green?
It seems to fit it well, and I'm liking it too, it will get some paint, but I'm deciding on whether to go ahead and throw something on this body, and keep wheeling it or to get another one that is rust free (Gus) or do a body swap. I kinda like the idea of not being afraid to bash this one some, if I get a rust free body I might be anal about wheeling it hard.
I liked your rig man! Very cool, and quite capable too! I am definitely on the same page with the hydro assist bit... Bloody annoying not being able to turn when I switch my front locker on!
I dunno whats up with everyone and saying I've got every tool out there

I only had about 800 lbs of tools and spare parts in the back of that thing....
Russell, it was very cool to meet you and Andrew. what an asset to anyone you wheel with, or even hang out in the parking lot with. You are the toolman! The use of your file was invaluable at the time, and much appreciated. It was fun going out on Pritchett with you guys. And Andrew thanks again for running for parts!
