Good to see you back working on it Dave.

I was talking to my uncle...he said the fast efi was super easy for him to install and it`s Awesome!! You should be very happy with it. :thumb:
Me too Dean, its been too long, got caught up in life, especially with the kids, but I've been lazy too! I know hard to believe right?
I've heard nothing bad about the EZ-EFI...looking forward to getting it running again w/ the new fuel system from tank filler to throttle body!

Looking good Zim! Hopefully I'll be able to see this thing in June if our pal Dueling can get things worked out

Brian, I can only make the first weekend in June work for getting the Maiden up there...the w/e Adam has planned I could only make it up for Thurs, but ride the bike up, help others, and hangout sounds like a good time...I work every other w/e, and the 15th is a family reunion in PA, and the 28-30 is the drags in Chicago...will probably be up there 3 times this summer though!

Well I hope we get to meet up either way :waytogo:

Brian I just put a new list of available dates in Adams' thread to make it to Silver Lake this summer, hopefully we can make it all work out and get together!:laugh::laugh:

Someway somehow everyone needs to meet Dave...:pimp::thumb:

Right Dean....NEED to make it happen, you know you got a place when you can make it, and we'll beat the hell outta the Maiden!:pimp:

Glad to see progress Dave, I want to see EFI on that bad boy!

Thanks Heath, I also look forward to the new system, I may hit you up for a few details throughout the install, as yours seems to work dam well!:waytogo:

Well worth the trip:waytogo:

The vette in person is VERY impressive:D

Kert, this pic looks fine for holding the lines in place, we'll just duplicate what you got here! I'll get one more Walbro, and I got submersible fuel hose already.

The Walbro's are 5/16 id for the barbed fittings, run those all to the puck and a 1/2" to the outlet of the tank.

Heath walked Craig through his whole install of his. And damn does it work good.

Things are looking good here. I've been gone for 8 days and now I'm trying to catch up. Let's stay in touch about the 21st and see if we can make something happen:waytogo:.

That's whats cool about CK5...they'll talk you into spending money then give you advice on how to install the parts too!

Will Do Tony....Its a go for me!

Man I've been pulled in so many directions this past week, only time I've had in the shop is to fix my dead Deere!

spent a few hours in the shop mocking up a prototype tank, had to make a few adjustments for clearance, but looks like I'm getting it zero'd in, maybe one more time taking it out, cutting, putting it back in, I might have it....here's what I got so far.

Used a few 1/2" spacers on the bottom for clearance between the tank and skid....the tank will be mounted to the skid so it will all come out as one unit.

A few spacer blocks on the sides to keep it evenly centered and I got a little over an inch gap on each side, and a consistent 1/2" on the bottom.

And the third trial fit resulted in this:

perhaps just a bit tight on this corner where the body mount is:

Front clearance is about an inch away from the body mounts, and will clear the rear diff when it is stuffed as well!

looks good Dave.. I'd get that tight gap opened up a bit, just move the angle wall farther in a bit...

Just make sure and use that waxy cardboard when you make the real tank. Holds liquids better.:thumb:

Right Paul, that's the next step...I've trimmed a little here and there a couple times, gotta make sure its a real good template to send Kert.
I've got 31.5 gal right now, cutting another 1/2 gal out (or less) won't be a big deal.

Looking good. Did you decide to go with the side fill then?

Still debating that one Matt, a quick release access plate in the floor to get to the filler cap would be the simplest, but would necessitate removing things to get to it if the back was loaded ....I sure would like to use my fill point I have now on the cage, but need to provide a vent for filling... which has me thinking of running a 1/2" vent line next to the filler hose to allow venting while filling, as an OEM tank does.

I got some of that white plastic corrugated too AJ, think it'll work?:D
That coat of paint isn't to fuel friendly!

Maybe a trash bag? No need to fit it so precisely then!

Pop and I worked (or bs'd???) out in the shop today...gotta say I'm lucky to still have my Pop around and have him be able to come out and hangout with me in the shop...we had a good day today!

Figured the best place for the pump would be right next to the tank at the bottom of the skid, and then its protected by the skid as well.
The tank will be narrowed by an inch, dropping my capacity down to a little over 30 gal.
We had to move the tank over to the drivers side to make room for the pump on the skid...allowing 1/2" between the pump and tank, and 1/2" between the tank and skid on the drivers side.
