Sweet, looks like a smooth jump! And you can see the suspension working on the approach too..:waytogo:

It’s funny it jumps really nice and is up to pretty big landings but it doesn’t like anything but rolling sand whoops.. I need to pull more rebound valving out of my bypasses and coilovers to see how smooth I can actually get it.. and to note something else, I think the reason why it takes the big hits so we’ll is because of those anti cavitation valves, it feels like an IBP..

Glad to see it’s working well for yah. I feel yah on the whoops. I can get half way through them before the ass end starts bucking. Hopefully valving helps that for me, but probably am going to need bypasses as well.

Yeaahh mine came valved super stiff so I gotta pretty much back it down to the lightest valving...

So my maths worked out perfectly on this one!! Yessss
I’m going to work on building the links for the cantilever and reinforcing the forward mounts after I get all these springs bent into shape..
below is the angle in which the shock would have to be if I mounted it under the axle, as you can see it’s pretty extreme.. this would also be with a 12 inch shock. 19.5 inches compressed. So a fox would be longer.
Droop is 16 inches metal to metal, limited by my shackle mounts, the shackle is hitting the mount otherwise it would likely be closer to 17-18??

Here’s the comparison to the 12 inch shock and straps, the additional droop I hope to god allows it to go faster.. pleeeassee

Bump minus 2 inches for bump compression

Little bit of spring deformation, expected since this is where most of the arch was added.

Also figured out the high rpm breaking up, if was rich, I put 68/73 jetting in and it cleaned up and is fine now.
I have a fuel pressure issue and I think I have narrowed it down to some sort of inlet restriction.. I gotta pull the tube out of the tank and see if there is something stuck inside it.

Also doing some shock swapping. Since I don’t have much time to play with the cantilever I am taking the short route and mounting shocks 1:1 that are 17 inch travel, these are off the race truck and I think will help me speed up the tuning process since they are already setup for a leaf truck.. I am going to see what’s inside and go from there. But this will setup the truck for a 1:1 short course style link in back when I get the time and money to do that.. for now I’d like to get as much out of the leafs..

16.250 inches total and the shackles hit the mount so maybe a little grinding and I could get 1-2 inches more and that’s it..

I think I fixed the fugging fuel prob finally... thanks to @Bent77 for helping me simplify my thought process.
I swapped the stock tank back in, and like Mark said I would hate the fuel cell and he was right and I’m glad to have all my space for activities back! I can fit a tire in there!! I have plans for the back!! Trunk or something to close off the shocks and holes in the floor from the rest of the cabin so maybe just maybe it may be sealed once again! Or that is the plan somehow..

I also broke down for this trip and stuck the 17 inch shocks off the race truck out back. In this pic the smoothies are on which actually worked pretty good. They have too much rebound in them but it worked ok.
I have the bypasses on the back now with the coffee can reservoirs. The trip is oct 12-14 so I gott boogey on a few things. The front shocks are now showing their lack of tuning so I’ll dump some valving from there to even the truck out. I need to organize all the tools and spares for the trip. Also will likely stick the wideband on here to verify fueling is close enough. She needs an oil change, something temp to keep my oil mess from these valve covers at bay for one more trip. Lastly some wire clean up is in order for my lights.. I have brake lights and headlights/running lights but no turn signals.. I may drop a pair of led lights in the housings in back so I don’t have to mess with this stupid converter box for single function bulbs..

Yes this is all sleeved, I do not plan on keeping these leaves as I mentioned before, thank you to @jkroberts for coming out bringing me metal and doing work with me to get this bad boy ready to roost.. even at 1200 and with clogged fuel filters we still had a blast on the shake down.. video to come!
