Killer Whale (Coilovers,Radius arms, Hardcore Tech!) 79 K5

Got the shock valving from bilstein finally. To me it looks interesting that there is a decent amount of bleed built in and not a ton of rebound.

I'm not 100% familiar with the ACV and I asked them about it, so we'll see the method they use to tune these.

Holy crap, thats a lot of work to start over. But for high speed stuff you will like the lighter longer travel up front I would guess.

I agree but I was going to do this anyway if the front broke. It helped a fellow ck5 guy as well as me. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437506031.151145.jpg
The last pic of it with wheels and a solid axle underneath. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437506056.051395.jpg
It's now at a buddies shop and will be until the front end and cage are finished.

Now I have to learn about ford stuff.. Going to use forged beams so keep costs down. And might stay 8 lug.. I haven't decided yet, if I keep with gm and get another 14 bolt it'll be thought and cheap, if I continue the trend of lightening up the truck a 9 inch would be better. Simple to weld on for link mounts also.. Decisions..

So I got 9 inch 5:14s and 4 wheels to get me started. Still on the search for I beams.

Do you think you could get away with pre fabbed arms and just build your own brackets?

I would be cool with that but I can't find any.. Most of them are ranger parts so the bolt pattern is to small.. Still on the hunt though.

Worked on a cool project with the wife, she found ideas for these benches on Pinterest, I figured I would give it a shot. I been bragging about wood skills for 11 years and haven't built anything, time to blow the cobwebs out on the woodworking!

I'll just leave this here. Found some brand new van ton beams 1 inch kingpin. Now I need to find the spindles etc for them.

I so confuzzled. Why you no link it lol.

This sounds terribly more complex.

Yes you are correct but the dividends are much greater.
The conplexity is more in the steering linkages, which is much simpler to make and deal with up front instead of making a relay rod from front to rear. I felt like it was the same amount of work for both but independent will work much better going as fast as I want to go. Basically a budget class 8 truck is what this is turning into. :/ lol

Yes for high speed on rough terrain.

4 wheel is nice though for when the ass end starts walking out and all you need to do is hit the gas harder to straighten it back out. Short wheelbase likes to do this I have come to find out
