I've never liked the look of shortened crew cabs with bed sides. They always seem to look odd

You bobbed the rear of the frame, it would look nothing like this truck......
I am fairly confident that that is a crew cab on a Suburban frame.

Nope, he actually shortened it that way on purpose. I found the thread of it on another site a long time ago, but if I remember right, he got in a front end collision in this thing and did a rebuild with a new frame where he did a traditional frame shortening and put a regular short bed on it and converted it to SRW too....looked a lot better that way.
I know some of these guys posting above don't like flat beds, but if you build something like Cousin Willard or the White UA truck from ORD, I think they look real sick. I've seen the White UA truck in person and I can tell you, that bed looks real good and is really usable on a rig that see's trails. I say go for it
But if you put bed sides on it too, I think it will look better than this truck above
The above truck looks goofy as hell. I thought he was referring to standard short box crews.
I hate flatbeds, but I like a tasteful "trail bed" or something like that. The ones ORD makes are badass.

Here are a few pictures from my long box that I built for my 85. There is a top platform that goes all the way across also. But it will be similar to this
I like flatbeds when they have some style to them. I'm kinda partial to the UA ultimate super dookies flatbed. Anyway... I like the direction this is going!

but I think Mutt's tubebed is the best non-stock bed eva... including pro shops...
If I agree that means I've become a ryoken groupie and also I don't think there's enough bandwidth to support the swelling of your head. Just sayin...
I'm supposed to think that.. if I didn't, I wouldn't have spent 1000+ hr's building it... all that matters is what I think, not the introweb...

Made a new engine crossmember tonight. I'm going to wait til the front suspension is done to weld it so I can position my panhard bar correctly.
