Well ......some updates are long overdue
I have been getting some stuff done here and there, lately life has just been beyond busy. I haven't mentioned it here, but as of March 3, Jacob will be a big brother

, so prepping for the new addition has been top priority lately. That combined with almost more work then the business can handle my 60 hour work weeks ( back and forth from day to night shift as well) have not left me much " free" time

I do have the engine here at home now, I have studded , o ringed the head, mild exhaust side porting and will try out the stock manifold which I am in the process of poring as well.
I have also added:
4k GSK and matching 60# valve springs
Timing bumped to 17-17.5 *
024 DV's
Rack plug
Running no fuel plate
Injectors will be here soon, I went with a set of 7x10's from Contagious Diesel
Turbo is still not totally decided on, possibly a custom set up from Engineered Diesel , not sure yet.
I did get my 4500 as well, running a built late model GM unit with a 1 3/8 dodge style input shaft and that will be going through the SouthBend dual disc sprung hub clutch I bought.
After lots of reading and talking with some other swapped in cummins people, I took the advice of "imiceman" and ended up doing some frame beefing, boxing and reinforcing

I am hoping to set the engine in for good next weekend, because with it in, it will keep me motivated even when I have less time to work on it .
I will get some pics up this week and hopefully some of the engine in it's new home next weekend.
I really need to get this thing going because before I know it I will be building another rig for the next child

( I say child because like Jacob we did not find out the sex)
