Deuling's 1985 K5. "Restart thread on post #8415"

I think you're gonna need to move the flip brackets a little further than just from side to side. You will likely need to add some anti-inversion tabs to your shackles....or run limit straps to make sure they never droop far enough to invert the shackle.

Jesse picked these up for me from a guy in the Detroit area. Just picked them up from him.

Nifty. Brand/make/size/specs?

Desert Trak 14.50s. Kartek says they are 30" tall, 12 wide. I haven't measured them yet though.

Id love to get the ones SBD has, but they are pricy. Got these for $160 used. The wheels are janky, somebody widened them 2" and they look pretty silly. They will mount to an 8" wheel, so I will probably put some spare rallies on them.

If it were me, and this is probably the only time you'll ever hear me say to run wide wheels, I'd go find a set of 15x10's with 4" of backspacing and call it good.

Actually after looking at the welds, they are pretty descent. They just didn't clean up the spatter so pics look worse than they are.

These ones seem to be 10" wide now. Pretty much what you described.

Run it.. I wanna see a 10ft high roost video.. With you actually revving that 400 to its redline..

Cool. But I want to know in a day and age where you can order 15x10's for $70 each off the Internet who widens rims anymore?

Meanwhile, the important question is will the hubcaps fit?

Well, I swapped the hangers around, and it was just not quite enough once i got the weight on the springs.... I dont much like drilling holes, and I ordered a bunch of extra bushing sets.... Sooooo

I also contributed my weekly sacrifice of blood.

Doesn't like drilling.

Two dimple dies......

You need like a 12 step program for dimple dies.

I didnt drill holes to do the dimples. I used the hole punch on the iron worker. Holes are as easy as pressing down on the hydraulic lever :D

Then you just put the die in the hole and push the lever down again

They are my favorite thing in fabbing now lol. If I make something, i make sure i can put that $400 in dimple dies to work
