A little update. I have been working on it somewhat steadily, but I seem to move slowly.
I have all four shocks mounted, with modified ferd towers for the front upper. I got the passenger side a little close to the evaporator case and had to unbolt the mount from the frame to put the bolt in for the shock...

But I still am slightly below what ORD said for ride height, but oh well. Somebody told me to quit overthinking and get stuff done.

14" travel shocks up front, just 11" in the rear.
I got the tailpipe and muffler hangers on, rear quarter panels trimmed, and the brake system put together. I just need to bleed it.
I got a new mount mad for the assist ram, but I didn't get my brain into how the lines will go as I was anxious to see hear it run again.
AND IT MOVES!!!!!
I must have part of the doubler in low, as I got 3rd gear in the yard. Not much speed...(no brakes) but the transmission seems to work! I was worried since it had sat for so long. No I just have to hope that heat cycles show the same results.
I got the front bumper mounts tacked on, but I left it for this week.
I did put the nose back together, cuz I wanted to see if the grille fit after I moved the horns forward to clear the coolers.
Just feeling the time crunch ....
