linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

Sorry this is a little off topic but how do you like copart i have heard bad things but im interested in buying a parts car or even a replacement for a car i have
Thanks
I've bought probably 20-30 vehicles and campers from there, never had a problem, as long as you understand once you bid and win you have to pay for it, if you didn't go look at it before bidding that's your fault. We've bought several cars that run and drive too and we still drive them

didnt get much done yesterday, went to wichita to get another race van, lol
cleaned up some brackets and started on the truss today though

bored today, several hundred miles away from the shop thinking about wheelbase.
It's going to be right at about 140" wheelbase with 42 inch tires, everything underneath will be tucked up into the frame and it will have a flat skid plate, is this still going to be a bit too long?
Factory on the esv(suburban length) is 130
factory on the regular escalade(tahoe length) is 116, maybe i should have started with one of those :D

Regular cab longbox is 132", so you're not much longer than that. Are you running a one piece drive shaft in the rear, or a two piece with carrier bearing? The two piece would help your breakover quite a bit...

well i still have no idea what im doing for transfercase, between a doubler, or an eco box, or just a single case, but if i just run a single case, i'll probably run a carrier bearing and a short shaft on top to help

Thant's going to be a monster.

Where do you think the top of the tire will be at ride height?

up about 9 inches from there, im hoping its the same height as my k5 with a 6ish inch lift or shorter. Id rather trim all the fenders than make it obnoxiously tall. the side step thing is still bolted on in that picture too, so there is actually another 3 inches of clearance when its removed also.

Perfect that's what I was hoping you'd say, I don't understand and never will understand the need to have 12" of lift on things.

you've obviously never crawled any big malls then :D

and to put it into perspective there is 17 inches between the top of the tire and the wheel well, so with 42s (1 inch taller on top than a 39.5 from center ) it should be about right with 16 inches of up travel.

I almost bid on copart, but got nervous because I couldn't see it first. I'm excited to see how this thing wheels being a little longer. I really want a tahoe or ccsb to do that to. Run 42's or 44's.
