Yep! 15 lbs per roll, and I used nearly 3 rolls. I like to think that I'm lowering my CG.

Looks like that's their version of using closed-cell foam and mass loaded vinyl. Makes for a floating floor - does a good job blocking sound. Used it in my G8.
I might have to do this soon.. along with cheap rubber mats.. please report back soon!

Forgot to mention, use aluminum tape to attach that mlv to each other. The smallest gaps will let noise through.
Building back the interior, and just had to pause to appreciate a memento from my first project - new carpet when I was 14.

Rain shut me down early, but it's almost back together. I blame my delay on Dynamat aluminum foil tape, which is crap.
I ended up using the Nashua 2mil extreme weather tape from Home Depot, which was substantially tackier. Perhaps the Dynamat adhesive team took the day off?
I actually washed the truck carpets in the washing machine. While moderately effective at cleaning the 20+ year dirt, it was most effective at getting the hard eye roll from the wife.
Hitting it again tomorrow. Need a couple of days of driving locally before heading south to Katemcy.

a little late for this suggestion now, but for the record, the RV roofing tape is supersticky...like get it right the first time because there is no second chance!

Great suggestion! If new tape is needed when I replace the carpet, I'll be sure to remember.

Back together and did a nice long test drive. Results: vastly improved, far easier to talk or listen, and there's still room to improve. This is great for now.

Not a screen shot, but I was 89-91 on the same road when I headed to the hardware store with the new shocks.

Bout 4db.. Not bad. Think mine wasn't that far from that kind of drop.
