Cad is cheating bruh! Lol I do dig em tho
I’ve come to really like the kicker bulge, too. I’ll put my own spin on it, but it’ll be about what you see.My favorite style of slider.
Rev0 freaking worked!I still like mine
Playing by the rules is overrated; also, I have to find a way to outline my idea before consuming $7/ft DOM.Cad is cheating bruh! Lol I do dig em tho
Looking forward to the series. Should be great! So, I’ve had my head down in the edit bay for a little over two months. The results of that project will start to roll out next next week.
Y’all here understand this best, but this is how I’ve spent my “spare time” for the last year. While the product of those efforts is intended for wide distribution, its production was enabled by you folks here.
From encouragement to guidance to feedback, it’s all valuable and deeply appreciated.

Our crap will look perfectly normal side by side. Except for the paint. I’m way ahead on what the cool kids call “patina.” I call it crappy clear coat beaten into submission by the Texas sun. Can't wait to check this thing out in moab. I'm afraid to park next to you with my crap.

Now, for tomorrow:
This junk will be on the tubes, the grams, and the books. You’re about to be inundated with these two nerds talking about trucks…

Thats a understatement.Looking forward to it!
2” .250 wall main rail? I think they’ll meet the standard. Are those going to be 1 KG rated.
At dinner, 5:59 PM CTTomorrow is my wedding anniversary but I'll still be watching!!![]()
What are you bending the 1/4 wall with? It’s been a busy week, but I finally got to start on the Rev1 sliders. 1-5/8x.134 kickers and 2x.250 main rails. Overbuilt is just right.
My material handling “stands.”

I’m pretty excited to weld these joints. Thick stuff is a lot of fun, and I need a break from sheet metal.View attachment 385031
Slider build
Slider mounting
Tidy up last details on wiring
New PS pump
Transfer case skid
Bump crossmember
Front spring hanger crossmember
Front beating check
Grease hubs/figure out why they’re hard to engage
…and I’m sure there’s something I’m forgetting.
David
Oh yeah. I'm a hero on 3/16"+.I agree about welding the thicker stuff
The 2"x.250 is the main rail, and doesn't get bent. Only the 1-5/8 and 1-3/4 stuff sees the bender. What are you bending the 1/4 wall with?
I see said the blind man...Oh yeah. I'm a hero on 3/16"+.

Affirmative. My bender is the same. I did manage to kink some 1.5” .250 for a track bar, but we heated it up first.Plus, my bender doesn’t have the stones for 2”x.250. I max out at .134, so that’s 100% of the car and 98% of the truck.

Pretty sure these will settle the rear some more, and the front might need a smidge more preload.
