PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
looks good dude.

Putting bumps up front right?

Bump stops?
I have a set but i dont know that i need them... i drove this until i started lifting tires and i only slightly nicked something im going to just cut out. I think i can set this up with 2" clearance at full flex with a little more cutting.

I think if i cut out that lower tray part the wheel wells used to mount to, chop my front fender like this guy right below the light, and cut the wheel wells 1-2"higher i should be golden

I think you should run bumps if you like your tires.

He is likely correct. You need to find out if your shocks are stopping your uptravel or down travel. You will flex more than those pics unless your shocks are limiting you. And if they are it will be a good idea ( bumpstops) to save shocks

You’re going to flex way more than that little dirt mound will show. I have taller springs than you and bumps and I still get into my firewall (if I’m really twisted up). Happened twice on the rubicon.....

Fair enough. I'll look into it. How far forward did you move your axle?
You have the b52 kit right?

I know nothing about bump stops other than i have these that i pulled off a parts truck. I have never used them before on any rig.

No idea on size mounting or anything...

Are your stock bump brackets in place? Most will mount those to the brackets or with a spacer if that’s needed to get them closer to the axle.
I haven't touched the stock stops so i imagin they are still there. I'll check it out tomorrow

Man i had some nice Hydrolic bump stops i won at easter jeep safari that i sold for $50 because i didnt think i would ever need them.
I can add these. Looks like all the stock stuff is there. Do i need to cut these down a little?

You have to figure that out for yourself based on where you want to limit bump travel. I would probably start by bolting one the stock bracket and see how close it is. Remember they compress a little......

I built removable pads for mine on the spring plates

So far the only real complaint i have with the 40s is the truck is slower.(full turtle mode) Need to figure out any way to snag a little more hp out of this turd of a TBI 350.

I hear you can make decent power from a tbi 350 with the right chips and mods.

Or i could big block swap it.
