PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
I'm only worried about figuring out and cutting the angles for the supports lol

Btw... I dig your rig!

Thanks...a lot of it was set up by previous owners. I only added the 42's, messed with a little suspension and hacked the wheel wells. Pack of new sawzall blades and a case of beer, what could go wrong.
Wish I had 5:13's...you built a very cool rig.

Anybody know how to pull power doors off? They riveted the rubber tube between the body and the door and I don't see any plugs. I imagine I'll likely need to take the doors off at some point to boatside and I don't want to cut the wires

Cool I imagine I'll need to cut the loom and just pull the wires through. Once I cut the doors how I want them I imagine throwing them on a table to weld will be easier than sitting under them.

I have a birthday coming up, maybe I'll throw a birthday/ boatsiding patry and see how much a group of dudes could get done ;)

While I think of this let's take a second to enjoy the happy camper that will acquire this project one day.

were you at a parts store for this picture?
He has the most comfortable seat in the car.

I have drilled the rivets out in the past and then just used new pop rivets when it was time for reinstall....

those plugs are hard to get to. My daughter has great sized hands to get to stuff like that. The rubber boots suck to get off.

If you want the doors to seal up after the boatsiding ( you do trust me) You will have to take em on and off once or twice so you can get em dead on. Also good time for new bushings. That way they are as tight as they can be.

No idea if I could make it down for a boatsiding party but I'd sure try to

If any of you guys run across a solid driver's door with power options at a junk yard or part out ad let me know. I don't want to go through the effort of swapping guts (mostly because I've never done it) or cutting up a door that's about to rust away. I'd like decent metal to start with
