PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
So they want you resusing your factory lines from the pump to the steering box? Seems crazy but there are no replacements in here.. @skunked @Fastereddie

Yeah factory lines, I bought two and carry a spare. Also carry plugs for your steering box outputs so you can plug the assist if you blow a line.

He did. He asked if it was the "aluminum falcon". It nearly made me flip out.
Apparently I am not the only one who didn't understand the "aluminum falcon "

And I like daring headliner! My old butt wouldn't do that, but I definitely appreciate it!

I notched the ord steering brace a little to fit my oil cooler lines, for the life of me i was not able to get the bracket on that fits on the front of that crossmember. It looks like ill need to cut it and weld the spacer part back on in a better position.

When i googled it it looks like a common issue

The one on my 78 went in perfect. Im disappointed this one was such a pain to get in.

If it's low pressure it will be fine. Don't use brass for high pressure steering/hydraulics.
It would be on the reservoir only so low pressure gravity out and low pressure return in and thats it.

Btw what size are these? #6 or #8 the other one a #10 or #12? The guy at the hose supply house gave me some brass fittings but i failed to ask the size.

***Those of you with kids***
How old should a kid be before hitting the trails? My son will be 9 months old, think he could ride along on say hells revenge?

Ok so the sizes equal out to how many 16ths of an inch. #10 is like 10/16ths of an inch or 5/8ths of an inch. Got it! 9 months might be a bit young just cuz the bumps can jar their little mellon pretty good. Mine have been on four wheelers since they were like 2 months old though. He might be ok on hells revenge if you take it easy on big drops and stuff.

I would worry about the baby 's head bouncing around too. The car seats do a great job, yes, but lots of bouncing for several hours can take a toll. The other concern I would have is keeping him from getting too hot in the car seat. The way their body gets wrapped to hold them safe, seems like it would make it difficult to keep the baby from getting too hot. And they can't tell you that they are too hot. The 90* to 100* temperatures that we will probably have, will be a challenge.

This truck has ice cold ac :)
We may leave him off the trails this year.

Well i think this will be it. Got one more 90 and my cooler will be here tomorrow and at least the pump and box will be in.

@skunked and others....
Did you have to cut the mounting tabs down or were they the right length?
I thought there would be some instructions but it came with zero.

Any tips on getting the ram lined up and in the right position?
