PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
I’d guess it’s bouncing due to axle wrap from the leaves.

Did you notice if the green truck have sway bars?

I sure hope I'm not getting axle wrap in the rear anymore or I'll need to start over on my antiwrap bar ;)

No he disconnected his sway bars but half way through the day he put them back on.

Btw @blazinzuk see that green truck on links? He was having some issues crawling. That thing leaned hard even on flat ground.... it wasn't selling me on links

Links done wrong are the worst lol. Of course he likely had very wrong spring rates but other things can affect this too.

Links done correctly with correct spring rates aren't that bad but definitely more body roll prone than leafs.

Joey your still getting axle wrap in front. No traction bar up there. Back end should plant pretty decent. Tires can cause bounce too.

I just spoke with the dudes at ORD... I will give them credit for being incredibly nice guys... no hassle at all they are sending me 2 sets of bushings just so i can keep a set in my travel kit. They said it is not typical but not the first time they have seen bushings grenade on their first trip out. They agree this wasn't user error or a vehicle issue it was a bum bushing.

Man Amazon was fast! I got my hawse in less than 24 hours. I went to install it and the bolts are short. Since I couldn't do that I decided to look at my rear shocks, which lead to me installing them and the shock braces.
It's amazing that the bilstein logo is almost an exact match to the blue I use.

Question for you fine individuals....
I have noticed that the bushings in my rear shackles are starting to look worn out they are sitting a little crooked... I am wondering if now is a good time to do bushings or if i should upgrade to the ORD heavy duty shackles... given last weeks experience with the front bushings i was a little nervous to go aftermarket. now that i'm running 40s and a full time locker i keep looking for possible weak links and people seem to think the stock shackles suck.... thoughts?

@blazinzuk will tell you to link it...
:D

I made my own shackles because I had the steel available and found a piece of tube for $8. I also had some energy suspension bushings on hand. So I didn't buy a set, however I would have otherwise. My stock ones didn't look good after getting the old bushing shells out. I haven't ever killed one otherwise because I don't have enough years in wheeling, or big enough tires.
I haven't had a problem with my ORD bushings up front yet, but I still trust that company and their people.

I got the hawse on tonight. Also discovered that for some reason I blew the little fuse in my winch... fixed that. Glad i didnt need it on the trail.
I also pulled the rear bumper to test fit a bracket i got from diy4x. I may just bag this custom bumper and stick with what I built... :dunno::thinking::dunno:

Also we need a moment of silence for my favorite tool :(
