Swapped out the dizzy and it fired right up. Ran good all the way home. Hopefully it won’t crap out on me again! I’m pretty sure I picked up some ponies BUT it might just be the 456.82hp gains I got from flipping the air cleaner lid? Here some pics of the old dizzy.

We hauled in a newer GMC 2wd with a 4.8 the other day. Lol the wheels are turnin... I know there’s a really good chance this truck will be up for sale before too long but it’s still fun to dream.

When the frik is this gettin boosted??
When the 4.8 goes in it... lol jk.

But that has been a thought in my head. How difficult is it to put a turbo on a tbi motor? Seems like it would leak out of the throttle blade shaft under pressure?

And what are my transmission options... ditching the 700r4 is a must and I’m honestly not opposed to going to a manual but I don’t know that I want to go with a NV3500? I’m not looking for crazy HP out of it but I want something more like a T5. But I don’t know if a T5 model that will be beefy enough is easy to come by?

Yep I'm with greg on this one, at least til your other junk is on the road. Ditch the air dam and maybe some mudders on it so it doesn't look so much like an old fart drives it and leave it be for now. Then later on SAS with the low lift ORD kit and a half ton front axle for reliability and maybe step it up to like a 285.

Haha! I’m not messing it up. I want to build a streetable 2wd with a couple little webbles so it’s fun to DD when I want it to be fun.

Why is ditching the 700r4 a must...? Just to go manual? It kind of sounded like you were willing to stay auto is why I ask.

Mostly because of the cost of a built juicebox that will hold up. As of now I think my daughter is getting this one so it’ll probably just get exhaust, paint, tires (maybe wheels), tint the windows, a stereo, and maybe a 2/4 drop?
