Project "RESPAWN" - 1972 K5 Blazer

Cool stuff here!
Cool, did you need a body lift?

After reading @AJs72K5 build, looks like I would need a 700r4/241 "tall" adapter, then I could use a stock 72 crossmember.

I have one of those on the shelf! It's got your name on it now.

You'll want to think about a clocking ring too. The 241 hangs pretty low without it. I used Kert's. But, you already knew that...

Yep, the next time I'm near the Blazer I will check clearances to see if I can clock it up.

Kert's clocking ring has two options for clocking. I did mine in the first and can still run the 3" exhaust over it. The second position is flat and could be up into the floorpan and cross braces

Was the 241 above the bottom of the crossmember in the first position?

I would think it is but does anyone know if a t-case crossmember from a first gen 4x4 truck is the same as a Blazer?

Not sure, but I would assume so. Why would they make more varieties of parts, if not necessary . ?

Blazer and truck 4x4 crossmembers are the same.

Checked my xfercase. Clocked, it sits 1" above the lowest point of the crossmember

Cool, thanks for checking AJ.

I'd be willing to bet there is still at least 1, if not both of those 4x4 68-72 trucks at LKQ on federal...

Found a good metal guy, Bret (Progressive Restorations) and started the metal work.
What he started with... don't think the PO knew what he was doing. :doah:
