Project "RESPAWN" - 1972 K5 Blazer

Cool stuff here!
I repaired that spot a few years ago. I think I took pretty good pics of how the pieces go together in my thread if it helps.
I'll check it out thanks.

Mine better not be that bad (crosses fingers, rolls chicken bones)

Ordered some 523 from automotivetouchup.com, hope it blends in with the old paint.

Are you just keeping the engine bay and interior that color for now? Including painting the interior of the replacement door? Is the plan to eventually get the exterior back to blue too?

I'm going to keep the firewall the original color and paint the exterior the original blue.

Got some paint from automotivetouchup.com for the firewall, matches pretty good. I could probably distress it a bit for a better match.

Got around to installing a set of ORD axle relocation zero rates, u-bolts and plates, now the back sits an inch higher with the axle an inch back. I went with 1" as the 1.5" was a tad to far back, I think IF I had a shackle flip I would have gone with 1.5" as the flip moves the axle forward. I currently have 4" springs in the rear.

Because I'm running a shim I had to tighten the center pin, then jam a flat screwdriver into the bottom and tap it into place as the shim covers the axle relocate bolt head.
