Sorry guys I've had a lot going on! I'm out of work on disability as of last Friday cause on an accident I had. I'll have plenty to update you Guys on tonight

I'm fine just a large laceration to my right cheek from a semi truck frame jack that kicked out from the truck and hit me in the face. I wanna work but doctor says no. I'm trying to get picture off my phone with a busted screen. Soon as I get it to cooperate I'll have a large update for everyone to bring you up to speed

At least it hit you in the face....it's not like you were that pretty anyway :D

Glad your ok Sam :waytogo: saw the pics on FB.
Was good wheeling witb you the other weekend also !!!

time to get moving!!

ok im back guys... this summer has been hell. not much done with the blazer. been non stop work. then my accident at work. still wasnt able to work on the truck while i was out on disability. dont really have much to post. i did find time to rebuild the front 60. not much new there. just re did all the wheel bearings, carrier bearings, and pinion bearing. so thats all freshened up. i did complete the "exo" cage i had planned. this was built simply for cab protection. the interior cage will be doing the job of protecting myself and passengers. that will be built this winter.
first bar mocked up

cage off for welding.

finished product.

figured id share a couple pics of my injury for you guys.
during stitching

then post stitches

this injury drove me nuts because the doctors wouldnt let me do anything for over a week.
i have NJ's annual toughest truck challenge coming up this weekend. the blazer is ready to go.
here's the flyer.

so those in jersey or willing to make the trip come on out its an awesome event.
ok so now for my winter plans.
as of this week i am the owner of this

it hit a kia at the passenger side front and the frame and suspension is toast. but what it does have is a 98,000 mile 5.3, and all the harness and ecm components needed to swap right into my truck. i really wanna take my time with this one and do it right. clean the harness up and make a clean swap out of it.
i do need some info about a swap like this.

first question is i have seen mention of a ls not working with the ORD crossmember. any options or modifications that can be done to make it work? possibly different oil pan?

next. any good writeups on trimming down the harness and mating it to the cab harness?

i wont be starting this swap till midway through October. so hopefully with everyones help and some online research i can avoid any serious headaches. depending on how the swap goes i will also be attempting to get going on the interior cage. other then that im not planning on anything else except possibly finally getting a front locker.
if you guys have any tips or tricks please post up!
thanks and im glad to be back!!!

I can't wait to watch you on the trail with fuel injection :woot:

Haha yeah it will be nice with that extra power. Hopefully I won't try and run ya over though haha. Brian you planning on coming out Sunday?

I'll see, I'm picking up a cab for my trick on Saturday in new York so that's gonna play into what I do. I might head down though
