alrighty.. here's how the back is sitting for now...




bear in mind, there is 0 weight on the back of this rig.... so as tubebed weight get's added, ride height will drop a bit, and the shackle angle will get better...

the other thing I'm gonna do is go back in and turn the flips around when I'm doing the rear x-member/tubebed action.... that'll move the flip brackets forward about 4 or 5"s on the rail.... was gonna do it today, but my drill bit's are hurtin right now, need a new set...

what that'll do is let me chop off about 6"s off the back of the rails and shorten the rig up more... I'll be doing a custom rear x-member/winch mount there... I'll also be moving the axle up 1.5" at that time... I couldn't move the axle today cuz I need to shorten the shaft...
 
I figure it'll drop an inch or 2 once it gets some weight to it....
 
yeah, it's a couple inches... but that's undriven, no shocks, just dumped on the ground and shy about 400 lb's of tube.... :haha:

i think it looks good, the flatbeds look better imo with a tad of rake as opposed to the desert racetruck squat...
 
I also have a zero rate kickin around that I could add to the front at some point....
 
I personally dig the rake! Ever so slight. Too me it say, Im a truck and i have to sit tall in the rear cause im bout ta get loaded up and haul some $hit!

BTW, dude, where the F was it that we were talking about windwo felts and where to buy them and stuff? Im trying to track whatever thread that was down and cant remember!
 
that's in here, about 1/2 way back i think.... teck and a few made some good vendor recommendations.. i'll dig it up later, after din din....
 
Sall good. If it was in here, i can go back and dig. I think it was around the time you were doing the doors. Seems like it was classicparts.com that was the place. I'll let you know if i find it.

I'd rather not have to ride the bike down to the marina with a driveshaft clanking to use my press tomorrow... :haha:
 
eh, no front yet.. no big, I'll bike down in the morn, it's only 2 miles...
